I use 7-Zip even though the icons on the UI haven’t been updated in probably 15 years, but that doesn’t stop it from being a decent tool serving me really well in handling archives. UI fads come and go, solid software just works regardless of how it looks. Libre Office still hasn’t fully implemented a Ribbon UI and that doesn’t make it any worse. If something isn’t broken, why fix it? Notepad hasn’t changed at all and I don’t see anyone complaining it looks old.
